MAFF will refund any/all camp weeks minus a $75 service charge, but only before the camp starts. Fee applies each time a cancellation form is submitted. If a monetary special offer was supplied by MAFF at enrollment (e.g. Gift card) an equal amount may need to be deducted from the refund amount if cancellation causes your week total to fall below the special offer threshold. No credit will be given for missed days.
Change of Camp Weeks:
MAFF cannot guarantee that camp weeks will be available for change. Please carefully consider your summer schedule when registering. A change of week request can be submitted via email to email@example.com two or more weeks prior to the week in question. A $15.00 fee applies for each change of week request submitted. Changes will only be made if there is camp available.
Camp must be paid in full by the beginning of the first day in order to attend. Registration, Health/Medical, & Policy Forms are also due on or before the first day of camp.
Drop Off and Pick Up Restrictions:
There is only one drop and pick up per day. Once a child is picked up from camp, they may not return until the following day. Campers may not be dropped off or picked up from field trip locations.
Late Pick-Up Policy:
There is a late pick-up fee of 45.00 for every 5 minutes after pick up time which may be assessed by MAFF for each infraction after an initial written warning from MAFF. It is very important that you are on time to pick up your child(ren). Please call if you are running late.
Field Trip Guarantees and Early Pick Up:
In order to guarantee a spot for the field trips, campers must be at the dojo by 9:45am. If you need to pick up your child prior to 4:00pm, you must officially inform camp staff. Field trips cannot be guaranteed for students dropped off after 9:45am.
Campers will receive one summer camp t-shirt. This shirt must be brought to camp every day. Campers will be required to wear the t-shirt on all field trips. Additional shirts are available for purchase. ____ Shoes: Please send campers in athletic shoes/sandals. No flip-flop type of shoes should be worn to camp. Note that socks may be required for various field trips.
It is recommended that campers apply sunscreen prior to morning drop-off. It is suggested that campers bring “spray on” sunscreen as MAFF staff are not permitted to apply “rub on” sunscreen.
Conduct and Disciplinary Actions:
The MAFF summer camp program reserves the right to send home any camper whose behavior is considered by any staff member to be detrimental to the best interests, health, and safety of other campers, staff members, or the dojo. Refunds on disciplinary dismissals are determined on a case-by-case basis. A decision on their continued attendance will be made.
Only MAFF staff is permitted to use the phones. If your camper wants to reach you by phone, we are happy to help.
Uniform/Equipment and Bags:
Campers must have their Camp T-shirt, closed toe shoes, and sunscreen on every day. Campers are requested to have a bag with a zipper to store all personal belongings.
Each day contains structured down time for all campers, during which time, they will be involved in the reading program. Campers are asked to bring 2 books from home that they are interested in.
If you wish for your child to be allowed to purchase snacks/waters when available, please have your child bring small bills (large bills not recommended). Drinks & snack items are available at the camp facility for a small fee.
Please put campers name on any clothing or personal belongings that they bring to camp.
We strongly suggest that campers not bring any valuables to camp. MAFF is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Mobile phones are not permitted for use by campers during camp.
Lost And Found:
A lost and found basket is located in the front. MAFF is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please stress to your child the importance of keeping his/her belongings together in their bag.
Medications and Allergies:
All medications and allergies must be listed on the Health & Medical/Emergency Contact form. MAFF strongly discourages the administering of medication during the camp day. If possible, please have the child take medications before or after program hours. If medication must be administered during camp hours, a separate Medication Authorization form must be completed.
Lunch and Snack Information:
Snacks and lunches are eaten during designated times. During this time, campers are to remain seated and are prohibited from other activities. Campers are requested to bring a lunch and a separate snack every day. Campers will not be permitted to go outside the camp facility to buy lunch. A $10.00 fee will be incurred if campers do not have a lunch, in which case a basic lunch will be provided to the camper by MAFF.
